Il Vicolo restaurant & bàcaro
Modern Italian dishes including Venetian tapas in a stlyish bar-restaurant, with a unique setting of a riverside mill.
Il Vicolo restaurant and wine bar has recently moved to new premisies on Bridge Street in Galway City.
Il Vicolo is owned and run by Aoife Flaherty and Gerry McMahon, whose brother JP is the man behind Cava, the Michelin Star winning Aniar and Massimo, so good food runs in the family. Il Vicolo started as a purely daytime café, but the expansion into evening trade means Galway has added another unique little premises to its burgeoning foodie scene.
Cafe by Day, Restaurant by night
Il Vicolo restaurant and wine bar is an Italian restaurant & bàcaro based in The Bridgemills on O’Brien’s Bridge in Galway City. This beautiful all day café turns into a small and intimate restaurant in the evening, with a constantly changing menu features Italian dishes that are as authentic as they are exciting.
Born out of the owners’ devotion to and experience of Italian food and wine, Il Vicolo (alley in English) was originally a tiny corner cafe and wine bar; still in Galway city centre, it’s now a roomier affair in the atmospheric riverside setting of Bridge Mills
